Being an entrepreneur

In response to Bob Herbert’s column in the New York Times, “A Sin and a Shame,” where he talks about how big companies in the US are stockpiling cash rather than keeping on employees… I wrote this:

One of the great things about the American system is that everyone can be an entrepreneur.  Not all of us are suited to doing that on a grand scale, but each of us are responsible for keeping our skills and capacities competitive, learning new things that make us more valuable to potential employers. And in between jobs we can do things that we might think are beneath us, or creative things that will help other people while earning us a little while we find the next job or opportunity. READ MORE
