Being unemployed

In response to Paul Krugman’s “Defining Prosperity Down,” (in the New York Times) where he argues that the US government should take responsibility for job creation, in spite of deficits, rather than let unemployment find its “natural” level in a global economy…I wrote this:

I lost my company (and my job as the CEO) nearly a year ago. I am now doing things I never imagined doing to earn enough money to live: I’ve opened a restaurant in my home, do some business coaching and babysitting. When times are tough we need to make compromises, even if that means we have to define our own prosperity down. READ MORE
